Sex Therapy
Space and time for passion
We all have a sex life, but our everyday lives are often superficially centred around other topics. Here is the space and time to put sexuality centre stage.
Sex seems to be omnipresent these days, at least in public. In private, however, a lot is kept quiet and concealed. I want toget people who come to me talking (to each other) about their desires and fantasies, but also about sensitivities and no-gos.
I invite you to come to terms with yourself and your desires and needs in order to discover, unfold and live your sexual development potential.
Many couples in particular live in the dilemma that although they love each other and understand each other well, eroticism and desire have fallen by the wayside. Together with you, I will go in search of clues and work out ways to rekindle passion.

Frequently asked Questions about Sex Therapy
Is sex therapy (only) for couples?
Is sex therapy (only) for couples?
No, my sex therapy is aimed at both couples and individuals. Perhaps you have individual questions or challenges in the area of sexuality that you would like to explore independently of a partnership. I can help you to better understand your own needs, to release sexual inhibitions or to deal with insecurities.
Can sexual therapy be combined with couples therapy?
Can sexual therapy be combined with couples therapy?
Yes, and that often makes particular sense. For most people, sexuality and partnership are closely linked. Difficulties in a relationship can affect sexuality – and vice versa. In my work, I combine sex and couples therapy when it is helpful to strengthen both the emotional and physical aspects of your relationship.
Does the sex therapy also take place online?
Does the sex therapy also take place online?
Yes, I also offer sex therapy online. Many topics can be discussed well in a protected virtual setting. Online sessions are particularly convenient if you don’t live near me or prefer a flexible approach to therapy. However, there are also cases in which a face-to-face meeting makes more sense – especially when dealing with deep-seated blockages or highly emotional issues. We will be happy to work with you to find out which form of therapy is best for you.
What is systemic sex therapy?
What is systemic sex therapy?
Systemic sex therapy does not look at sexuality in isolation, but in the context of your entire life story, your relationship and your social environment. It assumes that sexuality is not only an individual phenomenon, but also a relationship and communication phenomenon. In my work, I support you in speaking more openly about sexuality, formulating your desires and needs more clearly, and identifying what may be blocking sexuality in your relationship dynamics. Often, there are not only physical or psychological causes, but also unspoken expectations or entrenched patterns. Together, we will develop new perspectives and ways for you to live your sexuality more freely and self-determinedly.
Do health insurance companies cover sex therapy?
Do health insurance companies cover sex therapy?
No, unfortunately neither statutory nor private health insurance covers the costs of sex therapy. Health insurance funds only finance the treatment of medically recognised illnesses – and sexual problems are not officially classified as such. However, there are exceptions: some symptoms, such as vaginismus or premature ejaculation, are considered sexual dysfunctions from a medical point of view. If they are so distressing that they cause other mental illnesses, treatment by a panel doctor could be covered. The problem is that most panel doctors do not specialise in sexual disorders and therefore do not offer such treatments. I myself do not have a licence to practice medicine, which is why my services are generally not covered by health insurance companies – not even by private ones. The advantage: you can start immediately without having to wait for a cost agreement.
I am legally obliged to maintain confidentiality in accordance with § 203 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) and naturally treat your information and data with the utmost confidentiality.
I share premises with other therapists, counsellors and service providers. The signage does not indicate that this is a practice for couples and sex therapy.
To ensure confidentiality, I plan sufficient breaks between individual appointments.
To ensure a high standard of quality, I regularly have my work professionally reviewed, as is customary in the medical-psychological professions. In such so-called supervision sessions, cases are presented anonymously to a group of specialist colleagues and reflected upon. This means that my work is subject to regular professional supervision and control.
Unfortunately, the costs of sex therapy are not covered by health insurance. I therefore only treat self-pay patients, which has the advantage for you that I can offer you appointments at relatively short notice, as there is no need to submit lengthy applications for reimbursement.
Initial consultation
You will first arrange a non-binding initial consultation with me. You then decide whether and how you would like to work with me in the longer term and whether you would like to arrange further sessions.
The purpose of the initial consultation is for you to get to know me and my way of working. However, the focus of the session will be for me to gain a deeper insight into your problem together with you, to discover any pitfalls and to work out what you would like to work on together in order to develop initial solutions. After the session, you decide whether you would like to enter into a longer therapy process with me.
Further sessions
The sessions take place every 3-6 weeks, depending on the agreement. Exceptions can be made in phases of acute crisis, when a shorter period between sessions seems appropriate.
The number of appointments depends on the issues, the relationship dynamics and the symptoms. I am therefore unable to make a reliable statement in advance. Sometimes 1-5 sessions are sufficient, in other cases 10-15 sessions may be necessary.
My hourly rate is 140 euros.
For individual sessions, you can choose between 60 / 90 and 120 minutes.
Couples therapy sessions are more complex and therefore last at least 90, optionally 120 minutes.
All prices plus VAT.
